We’re parents who love surfing and beach life.

Based in the UK’s surfing capital, our family lives revolve around the rhythm of the tides. When we’re not at home in Cornwall, we’re travelling the globe in search of other perfect places to surf with our kids in tow. We launched Family Surf Co. to share our passion for surfing, travel and the beach lifestyle. And our mission is to inspire other families to enjoy quality time together by the beach.

So we’re pretty knowledgeable about all areas of family surfing life. It’s what brings us together as families, how we spend our downtime, and what makes us tick. It’s not just about surfing. It’s about being in the Great Outdoors and spending time together by the sea. We’re having fun whether we’re gliding on green faces, splashing in the shore break or toasting marshmallows around a beach fire.

Surfing and beach life is our sanctuary and our sanity.

Founders of Family Surf Co., Hayley and Celine, met on the beach when most other mums with young kids were hanging out in baby groups discussing sleepless nights and the colour of baby poo. We’d dip our chubby-legged tots in rock pools, watch them eating sand and deal with toddler meltdowns, between tag teaming surfs. From winter days huddled over hot chocolates, to summer picnics and sundowners, a friendship and a business was borne.

As the years have passed our family tribes have grown, now ranging from wave-stealing tweens to a two year-old beach bum. They’ve travelled far and wide with us on our quest to find the ultimate destinations to surf, stay and play: From Europe and the Caribbean, to Asia and Central America. We’ve hauled them around on ferries, flights, tuk-tuks and far-flung van trips, and experienced the best – and at times the worst – of family surf travel.

Whetever you need to know about family surf life, our community is a good place to ask. As travel agents we’ve road-tested every destination we sell holidays to, so we offer honest, in depth advice and information. But first and foremost we’re just parents who love surfing, love the beach, and love travel. And if we hadn’t been lucky enough meet each other and swerve those baby groups for surfing and beach life, who knows where we’d be now.
