Surf, yoga and spa on the Atlantic, with Morocco’s world-class waves on the doorstep.

Tucked between the Atlas Mountains and miles of sandy coastline, Paradis Plage is Morocco’s original eco-resort. It’s been doing sustainable surf travel right since before it was a thing — and with a Rip Curl Surf House, over 18 world-class spots on the doorstep, four restaurants, a hammam spa and a kids club, it’s one of the most complete family surf destinations we’ve found anywhere in the world.

Wake up, check the swell, and decide: dawn patrol at Anchor Point, a beginner lesson on the beach break, or a slow morning with coffee and the Atlantic spread out in front of you. There’s a reason families come back here year after year.

The Paradis Plage Surf House, in partnership with Rip Curl, is the heart of the resort's surf operation — a relaxed hub for lessons, guiding, hire and post-surf socialising. With over 18 surf spots within a short drive, this stretch of the Moroccan Atlantic is one of the most wave-rich family surf destinations in the world.

The beach: Direct access to a long, sandy Atlantic beach with consistent waves. Sun loungers, parasols and beach towels provided.

Lessons: Available in 2-day and 5-day packages (1h30 per day), including boards and Rip Curl wetsuits. Beginner to intermediate.

Surf guiding: Half-day guided sessions to the best local spots for intermediate and experienced surfers, with transport included.

Nearby spots for all levels:

  • Beginners: K14 (Imouran) and Crocro — gentle, forgiving beach breaks ideal for first-timers, especially spring to autumn
  • Intermediate: Banana Point (a consistent right-hander), La Source and Anza (the "Moroccan Trestles")
  • Advanced: Anchor Point — the legendary world-tour-quality right-hander, arguably Morocco's most famous wave. Also Killer Point and Panorama Point for experienced surfers

Surf lessons and guiding are available as add-ons and are not included in the room rate.

The sweet spot for families combining surf and sunshine is September to November and March to May, when the waves are consistent, and the temperatures are just right. Winter (November to March) brings the biggest Atlantic swells — great for more experienced surfers, while beginners will find gentle, manageable waves almost any time of year.

A 3/2mm wetsuit covers you for most of the year; pack a 4/3mm for winter surf sessions.

Check out our Family Surfing Guide to Morocco for more information on the surf beaches.

Onsite there are four restaurants and three bars — serving everything from healthy poolside lunches to candlelit Moroccan dinners:

L'Océan — The breakfast restaurant. A generous healthy buffet with Atlantic views, omelette and crêpe station, plus vegan and gluten-free options. The best start to a surf day.

Le Chiringuito & Beach Bar — Right by the Surf House and the sea. Poke bowls, fresh salads and grilled fish in a relaxed beach-bar setting. The natural post-surf lunch spot.

Le Lounge — Poolside with ocean views. Cocktails, Mediterranean-inspired lunches and a laid-back atmosphere perfect for lazy afternoons.

Le 27 — The resort's fine-dining restaurant, named after its location at Km 27. Evening à la carte with a creative menu combining Moroccan, international and vegetarian dishes.

Children's menus available. Special diets (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free) catered for across all restaurants.

Beyond the waves and the yoga mat, Paradis Plage sits at the gateway to one of Morocco's most beautiful stretches of coastline:

  • SUP on the Atlantic
  • Sea swimming from the private beach
  • Explore Agadir and its souk, rebuilt after the 1960 earthquake
  • Day trip to Essaouira — the wind-swept blue-and-white coastal town and kitesurfing capital
  • Camel trekking in the dunes
  • Atlas Mountain excursions
  • Whale and dolphin watching boat trips
